Boating Safety Class at Erwin Marine Guntersville

March 8 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Safety Class

As we get ready for another exciting boating season, safety should always come first! That’s why we’re partnering with Alabama Marine Patrol’s Trooper Mayo to bring a Boating Safety Class to our Guntersville location on March 8th at 12:00 p.m.

Where: Erwin Marine Sales – Guntersville
Address: 28601 US-431, Grant, AL 35747
When: Saturday, March 8th at 12:00 p.m.

This is a great opportunity for both new and experienced boaters to brush up on essential safety tips, Alabama boating laws, and best practices to keep you, your passengers, and fellow boaters safe on the water.

What You’ll Learn:
✔️ Alabama boating laws and regulations
✔️ Safe navigation and right-of-way rules
✔️ Life jacket and safety gear requirements
✔️ Common boating hazards and how to avoid them
✔️ Tips for handling emergency situations

The class is completely free, and we highly encourage everyone to attend—especially if you plan to get on the water this season!

Important Note for Attendees Under 18:
If you are under the age of 18, you will need to attend this class in order to obtain the “V” (vessel) designation on your license, which is required by the state of Alabama to operate a vessel on the water.

Why Take a Boating Safety Class?
Understanding the rules of the water is crucial for preventing accidents and ensuring everyone has an enjoyable, safe time out on the lake. Plus, this class will allow attendees to take the test for the “V” designation, which is required by the state of Alabama to operate a vessel on the water.

While online classes may cost money and still require a visit to the DMV to update your license, this class is free and saves you both time and money!
