1982 Hatteras 56 Motor Yacht
This Hatteras yacht is great for her age with a long list of equipment and upgrades throughout. The current owner has replaced the carpet with teak and holly floors throughout the entire boat. Additional upgrades include the blinds, nice furniture, a big TV in the salon, and Garmin chart plotters on the lower helm and bridge as well as Garmin autopilot at both stations. Also, the dinette has been removed and replaced with custom cabinets and a work station/bar. Custom countertops have been installed in the galley. All canvas around the aft deck is fresh and the top of the bridge sports a new bimini top. This yacht has a full-size Fisher Paykel refrigerator, a full-size Frigidaire oven, and a microwave. The Detroit 8v92TI diesel engines and have approximately 2500 hours and received a major overhaul with added twin 20KW Kohler Generators, spare props, and a spare shaft
Hatteras is known for its rugged construction and traditional profile as is her spacious interior with an 18’2” beam. The three-stateroom floorplan is arranged with galley down and split engine rooms with a hallway leading to the master stateroom. The wheelhouse is open to the salon with both port and starboard cabin doors for easy access to covered walkways. Engine rooms are clean and this 56 Motor Yacht has always been kept in freshwater. It started on Lake Michigan, moved to Knoxville/Tellico, then was sold to the current owner making it’s way to Chattanooga four years ago.
